The Pumpkin Patch at Southport Baptist Church @ Southport Baptist Church

Southport Baptist Church is proud to announce that we will be having “The Pumpkin Patch”, a Children’s Outreach and Mission Project.
We will be out selling pumpkins to raise money for local church missions and projects.
The Pumpkins will be arriving the last week of September. The Pumpkin outreach sell will start October 1st and run through October 31st 2018, or until we are out of pumpkins.
We will have a free family fall photo location, pumpkin painting location and more.

Please come out and support your local children and church mission!

2018 Preservation North Carolina Annual Conference @ Blockade Runner Beach Resort

Preservation North Carolina’s 2018 Annual Conference will be held this year in Wrightsville Beach/Wilmington with the theme “Preservation + Innovation.” This year’s conference will explore the ways entrepreneurs, architects, builders, chefs, restaurateurs, brewers, and preservationists are establishing their new ideas in old buildings. Come network, learn, and be inspired by the creative ways innovation is shaping North Carolina’s historic landscape. There is an exciting slate of educational breakout sessions, keynote speakers, tours and a party with the beach as our backdrop!

Join the Halloween festivities at the Holden Beach Pavilion on October 19th, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This free event features booths with carnival games for children sponsored by local businesses, organizations, and residents.

Grissettown Haunted Trail @ Grissettown Longwood Fire and Rescue

Prepare to be spooked on this family-friendly, yet fantastically scary Haunted Trail, open every Friday and Saturday night in October and on Halloween. Make your way through the self-guided tour, encountering interactive props and actors. The trail takes about 30 minutes to complete.

This is not a little kiddie attraction, although it is family friendly. There are thousands of man-hours involved in putting together this trail, it takes an entire year to prepare.

The trail yearly takes in about 3,000 customers from all over the state and has won 2 local awards for the scariest haunted attraction.

The Haunted Trail is located at Grissettown Longwood Fire and Rescue, 758 Longwood Rd., Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Admission is $10 per person. Prepare to be scared!
