The Ocean Isle Beach Pier
Ocean Isle's original landmark — nearly a thousand feet of weathered wood stretching straight into the Atlantic — lined with benches, saltwater air, and the good kinda feeling you can't get anywhere else on the island.
Walk it for the views. Fish it for the fight. Or just sit on a bench with a cold beer from the pier and watch the birds do their thing. There's no wrong way to spend time out here.
The pier is open to anglers and sightseers alike. Grab a fishing pass at the desk — daily, weekly, or season — and fish under the pier's license so you don't need your own. Bring your gear or rent ours. Come & go as you please, and enjoy free parking while fishing. It's a fun activity for all ages and great way to make memories here in Ocean Isle.

Fishing Report May 23rd ocean isle beach pier: by noon lot of whiting, croaker and some nice sheepshead. Busy morning but the fishing is good
Fishing Report May 22: Blues and Spanish are out, but fishing is a little slow. Fish the morning tide, grab breakfast at the grill, come back in the evening when it cools off.
Fishing Report May 20: fishing has been slow for a few days. This morning brought a few Trout, Whiting and Croaker.
Fishing report May 16: Spanish Mackerel and a couple pompano. Lot more Whiting, Croakers.
Fishing Report 15 May 2026: Eugene Caught a nice Black drum, Allen caught and released a large pompano, a few good Spanish were caught as well as some large whiting today. The fishing is good!

Fishing Report May 7, 2026 . Ocean Isle Beach is experiencing some strong winds and scattered rains. Still good sized whiting and croakers and blues, but spotty with the muddy water. Sharks are out too

23APRIL - Evening: Grey Trout, and more Pompano caught. Baby King Mackerel have been caught, none with size yet but we have first sighting! Blues and Whiting still biting, bait in the water.
